There are two kinds of people in the world: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those who want their own will to be done.
This is the 232nd letter:
Text for the day: 2 Sam 22:29 (NIV)
You are my lamp, O Lord; the Lord turns my darkness into light.
April is a special month to many around the world. It is our aim at Garden
Last week if you remember we had asked two questions. We thank you for taken out time to ponder on our two questions. Out of the hundreds who receive Garden
Questions
Don’t forget to get your answers in to Garden
1. The light provided on Day 1 of creation week, was it the light of God's presence or from some other object created?
2. Was the light on day one of creation week just provided for the earth only, or the entire universe?
Your Answers:

God said let there be light, if the light was from his presence I don't think that he would have had to speak it into existence. This light was specifically for earth.

"These two question I believe to be easy question only because God Himself answered them for us already..."In the beginning...." who's beginning...smile...Man's beginning...therefore it was for man that the light was specially design...as you know all things concerning the earth were specially designed for man and his needs...therefore the light provided for him and creation that also was for man's pleasure and work...were formatted for his growth and development...as for question
2. Looking at the earth from just minutes outside of earths atmosphere...we can see how irrelevant the sun and stars are...so yes...the light provided was God's idea for comfort to men...also...we should take into consideration the bigger Picture...God created man for a wider purpose...soon the earth will become the center of the Universe...therefore...the untouched surroundings that men have of earth that they seem to be fascinated with...will
To those who had taken out time to write to us we say thank you, and to those who longed to participate, thank you also.
Our Devotional
"Out of Darkness Comes Light" a quote derived from the ancient Myan civilization. The Myans are well known for their study of astronomy - much of their culture and rituals were established around the sky, stars, moon, sun, and weather patterns... it was depicted that they used the analogy of "Out of Darkness Comes Light" to assimilate with the various cycles in life. The quote is interpreted as an encouraging fact of life - one we cannot deny.
John 12:46 says that, “Jesus is the light of the world,” and that, “those who walk in Him should not stay in darkness” nor stumble. (John 11:9-10 Heb 4:12-13). In speaking to His disciples about His power, Jesus said in John 12:35 (NIV) “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. To those who walk in the darkness, they don’t know where they are going." If you claim to be "in the light" and hate your brother, you are a liar, and still in complete darkness, (1 John 2:9-11)
Since God is light, we better start getting used to Him now. When He comes, only those who love the light of His righteousness will enter into Heaven. Today let Jesus come into your life anew so your pride can be melted away like wax and that the impulse of your fleshly desires can be crushed. Soon Jesus shall come and the redeemed shall see His face and dwell with Him.
When God stepped out over the earth and unveiled His glory on the first day of creation, His presence shone over the earth only. In the new earth the Bible gives us a picture of the same event. Note, the city of God will be lighted by the presence of God only and the remainder of the earth will have need of the sun, moon, and stars to give light unto it. The lights in the sky, they shall be given to divide the night from the day over the earth outside the city only. Note these light-giving bodies will not be imperative for illumination of the city. The glorious effulgence of the presence of God will give more than sufficient light. Created light on that day and through eternity will not outshine the uncreated glory of God in the city. (Revelation 21:23; Revelation 22:5; Isaiah 60:19-20; Isaiah 24:23) May our hearts shine with the glorious presence of God today!
