Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

and Wise series Part 11”

Truly I am encouraged how little can become much when you place it in the master’s hand. To all our faithful readers on behalf of the Garden Ministry team, we say Blessings, Blessings, and Blessings.
Over the last two weeks we can definitely say we have had an eye opener in the area of gardening. I must admit although I do some gardening as a hobby, I had to sit back and reread what the Lord gave me to write on this series. Which brings me to a sad point; this is the last message in this series of, “Wealthy, Healthy, and Wise.” Thus far we looked at the health benefits of gardening and have seen that it will increase your mental and physical health if you make it apart of your weekly planner. We had also seen that those who eat from their own gardens are far wiser than those who don’t. We said they are wiser by saving money and wiser by knowing what went into the growth of their produce. We also looked at the spiritual value of each step, and we have covered six in gardening. In a nutshell we have seen that God has a plan for all His servant leaders, but in order for that plan to be realized we must be willing to submit to His will. Today we are looking at the seventh and last step in our series which is storing.
If you have apples in your yard like me, one of the first things you need to know is how to save as many apples as possible with out losing any in the harvest season. Did you not know that an apple will keep well for about 6 months at temperatures between freezing and 45°F.? Let’s move from fruit to a vegetable that takes about six weeks to mature. The sting beans is an interesting plant which needs average water to grow, but once it has ripen one should dry store in an air–tight container or bag. What ever fruit or vegetable type you have they all need there special way of storing. Just look at the berries, you should never rinse them off before storage. Washing takes off the thin, protective epidermal layer. You should also store berries in a cool, dry place; refrigeration for long periods promotes mold as a result of condensation on their surfaces. Parsley will keep for about two weeks with stems immersed in a glass of water. Just as there are proper ways to store vegetables and fruit, there are proper ways to store seeds.
If seeds are stored properly, they should last at least two to three years, if not longer, depending on the seed type. Proper storing can be liken to those who put a portion of their money aside after they receive their check for the future. To you who work for a living, it’s time to work wise because it’s time for you to stop being poor and start being Wealthy. Can I speak plainly? Do you have a seed saving plan or do you spend all the funds you make weekly, or monthly? If you do you deserve to be poor. To you who do have a plan, are you watching it against the market? If you work for a company, has your company invited an investor to come in and talk with you lately? Just like the farmer who is always preparing for the next season, every worker ought to be preparing for the future also. Remember God did not call you to live in poverty, He wants you to prosper. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3John 2) My fellow servant leaders let us never forget, that as we study the promises of God’s word we are to ever store them up in our minds for future sowing.
“Let us represent the Christian life as it really is; let us make the way cheerful, inviting, and interesting for others. We need to fill our own minds with spiritual and eternal things. Faith sees Jesus standing as our Mediator at the right hand of God. Faith beholds the mansions He has gone to prepare for those who love Him. Faith sees the robe and crown all prepared for the over-comer. Faith hears the songs of the redeemed, and brings eternal glories near. We must come close to Jesus in loving obedience, if we would see the King in His beauty.” (AG 341.4) Food, clothing, station, and wealth may have their value; but to have a connection or be stored up with God and be a partaker of His divine nature is of priceless value. Today God is calling us to be hid with Christ in God as the Bible says; “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2) On that day; “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.” Like the produce from the garden in its perfection, so it is our privilege today to becoming sons and daughters of God purchased by His own blood. To be finally stored in His kingdom, “not just for time but for eternity.”
