Garden Ministry

Encouraging workers in the field of the Lord.

"Am I my brother's keeper?" (Part 8 "What have you done?")

Satan is constantly at work, with intense energy and under a thousand disguises, to misrepresent the character and government of God. With extensive, well-organized plans and marvelous power, he is working to hold the inhabitants of the world under his deceptions.

This is the 203rd letter:

Text for the day: 1 Corinthians 5:10 New King James Version

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

Our Theme for the day: “Am I my brother's keeper?” (Part 8 “What have you done?”)

Our Devotional

Have you ever judge someone incorrectly? How did you feel after? Did you go back and apologize or did you leave it and let bygones be bygones? The Bible points out that there is coming a time when God shall call everyone by name before His judgment seat. On that day God shall multiply or subtract our talents and the intent of our hearts correctly. (Matthew 25:14-30 / 1 Corinthians 5:10) Human beings are likely to judge according to feelings or appearances, but the counsel of Gods Kingdom says; “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24 / 1 Samuel 16:7). It was said of Jesus that “he knew all men” and that “he knew what was in man.” (John 2:24-25)

Every one should avoid judging after their own sight, and also stop reproving after the hearing of their own ears.” The time has come when God is calling for exemplary Christians who don’t criticize or form hurried opinions concerning their fellow Christians. Soon we must all appear before the judgment seat of God. Cain was soon called to answer for his crime. His Day of Judgment had come! The Lord said unto Cain, “Where is Abel thy brother?” And he said “I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?" (Genesis 4:9) Cain had gone so far in sin that he had lost a sense of the continual presence of God and of His greatness and omniscience. So he resorted to lies to conceal his shame.

Like Cain there is someone whose intent is to kill someone today. Not that we long to see death! In the name of Jesus STOP! Who shall resort to falsehood to conceal there own guilt? Who! The Lord shall say to you, "What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground,” (Genesis 4:10) because you killed your brother with your hands and/or your mouth.

God had given Cain an opportunity to confess and reflect on his sin, so has He given us an opportunity to confess and reflect on our sins. Cain knew the enormity of the deed he had done, and of the falsehood he had uttered to conceal it; but he was rebellious still, so his day of judgment had come, sentence will no longer be deferred. May God help us to be true and honest to Him today, so when He comes to our name in the judgment we will be found in Him and not wanting! In view of the solemnity of the hour, all must watch lest the decisive moment that forever fixes every man’s destiny finds them unprepared and “wanting.” (Daniel 5:27 / 2 Corinthians 5:10 / Revelation 22:11-12)

Testimonies from our readers:

Thank you for the encouraging words.  This message (Am I my brother's keeper” (Part 4 Why is your Face Downcast?) has helped me to realize why some of our young males entice each other with negative instead of positive words. May they get the encouragement they need from each other through positive affirmation instead of the negative!

Be continuously blessed!!

Love you!!
