“Success isn't how far you got, but the distance you traveled from
where you started.” In Heaven and the earth made new, all the
redeem shall one day sing, “Oh, that will be glory for me, Glory
for me, glory for me, When by His grace I shall look on His face,
That will be glory, be glory for me. Friends will be there I have
loved long ago; Joy like a river around me will flow; yet just a
smile from my Savior, I know, Will through the ages be glory for
me. Oh, that will be glory for me, Glory for me, glory for me,
when by His grace I shall look on His face that will be
glory, be glory for me.”

Text for the day: Matthew 26:41
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Our Devotional
When Bobby Lie's heart stopped and he fell to the floor of his downtown high-rise office, Mayor Thomas Menino saved his life. The mayor didn't rush to his side; a security guard did that. But emergency medical officials say Menino's leadership and his efforts to involve the community in saving lives changed the way Boston responds to such situations. Those changes saved Lie and about 200 others over the past decade.
For Lie this was a state of emergency, but for the city of Boston, this is a powerful demonstration of a proactive city in the 21st century. When it comes to motivating a people from slumber to activity, the first thing we must do is pray that God would send the right leader to bring them from their lethargy.
Today we see calamity by sea and land as a testimony to the fact that we are living in the end times. Wars and rumors of wars declare that the Lord is coming. We are living in a time of emergency, and like Mr. Lie of Boston who needed medical help; the world is in need of people who can give spiritual eyesight to the spiritual blind as the footsteps of the almighty God is at hand.
It is no time to be careless, inattentive, and live in a spirit of slumber. Unless the people of God awake from their sleep, they will be taken unawares by the devices of Satan. Among those who claim to believe in the near coming of the Savior, how many of you are living in a back-slidden state, and how many have lost their first love? We must awake, because Satan is doing his utmost to keep whomever he can in a state of indifference and stupor. This is the day to arise from our spiritual slumber, and trim our lamps, and be found waiting and watching for Jesus. In these eventful days which are full of peril. The signs of the coming of the end are thickening around us, and events are to come to pass that will be of a more terrible character than any the world has yet witnessed.
Jesus' parting words to His disciples I impart to you today, "Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock-crowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping," (Mark 13:34-36). In short, let us watch, because it takes everything to serve the Lord.
