EXHORTATION TO EMBRACE WISDOM

This is the 114th letter:

Text for the day: Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Our Theme for the day: EXHORTATION TO EMBRACE WISDOM

Our Devotional

To many of our readers of Garden Ministry they are parents who are longing for the best for their children in this world and the world to come. Today we finish our New Years foundational series with a special emphasis on our youth. At the beginning of this New Year, let parents sit down with their children and help them make good choices for this year. Teach them that they have something to do themselves in setting goals both short and long term for their future this year. Teach them the importance of personal Bible study and prayer. Teach them the value of volunteer service, and personal involvement. Teach them of what Jesus death on the cross has done for all mankind.

Help them see that trials are good for them, for they make them strong each time they overcome them. Instead of telling them they are not allowed to do certain things, exhort them to read so they can prepare themselves to experience them. At the beginning of this New Year let parents instruct their children tenderly, and faithfully. Let parents shake off the spirit of discouragement, and reach out and help the children. Let the children modestly and with simplicity tell their feelings, and express their love for family, school, country, and God. Encourage them to fill their place, and duty, that they may be blest of God. Let them bear their testimony, that all would be blest in hearing them.

Today it is the day, for our Children to have their own experience. Today is the day for our children to fall in love with Jesus, that their lives may be marked with His love. Today is the day for our children to watch and pray, today is the day to be an over comer. Do not neglect this exhortation to embrace wisdom. Finally, look to your eternal interest, and have your thoughts heaven-ward. Do not let your minds be filled with vanity and pride. You will have trials, but go to Jesus for patience and strength that you may hold the victory. Let your trust be fully in God. Remember that Jesus died to save you, so won’t you deny yourself for Jesus and the good of others?

Jesus has gone to prepare mansions for those that love him, that where he is, there you may be also. If you are faithful, you will go to those mansions. All will be joy, beauty and loveliness. There no trials will ever come. There none will say I am sick. Heaven will be our happy home, because we chose to follow the exhortation to embrace wisdom.
