This is the 145th letter:
Text for the day: Numbers 20:12
And the LORD Spake unto Moses and Aaron, because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Our Theme for the day: DON’T SIN IN YOUR ANGER (Part 2)
Our Devotional
I read a sign which said, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” This is true sayings which all need to take to heart. After the death of Miriam, who was the sister of Moses, at Kadesh in the desert of Zin. The whole congregation came and gathered themselves together against, ganged up or in opposition to Moses and against Aaron. In verse 3 of Numbers chapter 20, the King James Version uses the word, “They quarreled with Moses.” In the Message Bible the same word is, “They attacked Moses.” and said, "We wish we'd died when the rest of our brothers died before God. Why did you haul this congregation of God out here into this wilderness to die, people and cattle alike? And why did you take us out of Egypt in the first place, dragging us into this miserable country? No grain, no figs, no grapevines, no pomegranates—and now not even any water!"
This was enough to put any ordinary person on the defense, but a Christian is not called to be ordinary, they are called to be extraordinary. Verse six says, “And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. Prayer meeting is always a place to be when you are faced with trials. As servant leaders, we should encourage our community’s to seek God in prayer. Help them to see that it’s not good to let their anger get the best of them. Take it to the Lord in prayer. “And the LORD Spake unto Moses, saying, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. And the LORD Spake unto Moses and Aaron, because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. This is the water of Meribah; Numbers 20:7:13 Remember, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.” Today there may be something of which God is asking you to speak to and you may be faced with the gangs, quarreling, or may be you are going through deep opposition, like Moses and Aaron did.
Remember, like Moses God wants you to speak to that rock before you. Speak today and see the goodness of the Lord. The lesson of Moses was, evidently intended to clearly identify the totally supernatural provision of the water, without any human agency. Secondly, God was showing His people through Moses that only those that obey Him, will prosper in this life, and inherit the kingdom of God. Some have made this a big issue, they say this was a small thing; God was to hard on Moses by not allowing him the privilege to enter the promise land. But this was not a small thing, God told him to speak to the rock, and he got angry with the people, which caused him to hit the rock twice, and disobey God. Rather than trusting calmly in almighty God, he lost his temper and sinned. Today let us not lose out on the Kingdom of God because of our angry.

in Jesus name, Amen.
Prayer Request
Today we bring to you a young man who you have had the
privilege to pray for over the last six weeks. Shakir is his name.
His family is so grateful for your prayers, don’t stop.
This is an up date picture of him with his father, twin sister, and grandfather.

Shakir is still in the hospital in Bermuda and in the process to
receive treatment at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in
Boston, now just waiting on a bed.
Keep this family in your prayers.
A person who loves the Bible will also love to pray, and a person who loves to pray will
delight themselves in the Bible.
