And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Our Devotional
Today there are many brilliant minds that feel that governing time can gain the best results in life. Others will suppress laws so they can dictate to the fulfillment of prophecy. B ut this is not the way God has authorized His agenda. God has and will always work through the fulfillment of the time of His prophetic time clock. Prophecy is the tool that God use’s to confirm time and help shape laws. The B ible says, “When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5) Over time the first advent story has become the C hristmas story, and most people instead of glorifying God for Jesus are giving thanks and glorifying Father C hristmas for Santa. So how does the B ible describe what was to take place at the fullness of time? According to Daniel 9:24 prophecy had already foretold the exact time for the coming of the M essiah. In the councils of heaven the time for this event had been predetermined Acts 17:26. Not only did the M essiah come at a time indicated in prophecy, He came at the most favorable time in all history. The world was at peace, and under one government.
Travel by land and sea was relatively safe and expeditious. There was a universal language, Greek. At the time of the M essiahs birth mankind were dissatisfied with their religious beliefs and where looking for the truth about life and human destiny. The word “fullness of time” also implies that all events foretold as preceding the advent had been, or were on cause of being fulfilled. All events in the great cosmic plan were moving into exact order and had now reached its appointed time. The time of the prophecy of the M essiahs coming had come, not just the time but also the place of his birth. “And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from C aesar Augustus that the entire world should be taxed. And this taxing was first made when C yrenius was governor of Syria . And all went to be taxed every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth , into Judaea, unto the city of David , which is called B ethlehem ; because he was of the house and lineage of David. To be taxed with M ary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn, (Luke 2: 1-7). B ut thou, B ethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. M icah 5:2.... With all this evidence the B ible says His own refused Him. “He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him,” John 1:11 (New International V ersion). From birth to full age in His calling to ministry and service, only a few received Him. From birth to full age in His calling to ministry and service, only a few would dare to forsake all and follow Him. To the countless thousands they would say there is no room in the inn of their hearts for Jesus. Like it was at the coming of Jesus first advent, so shall it be at his second. Today there are many people who are like the Jews of old, doubting the birth of the M essiah.
They are saying by their lifestyles that there is no room in the inn of their hearts for Him. All things help us see that this is a most favorable time in all history. The world is relatively at peace, but will break out with trouble, Daniel 12:1, and move under the order of one government, Revelation 13:12. Travel by land and sea although relatively safe and expeditious are easy, they will slow up. We are living in an age of universal language, English. Over the years more people have left the church because they are dissatisfied with their religious beliefs and are looking for the truth about life and human destiny. All events in the great cosmic plan are moving into exact order and soon it will reach its appointed time. The time of the prophecy of Jesus coming will come to pass, Ephesians 1:10, not just the time but also the place, earth.
There is no valid basis for doubting God’s great plan to save mankind. Soon the fullness of time will sound again, but this time in great power and glory Jesus will come the second time. B ut only those who have accepted Him into their hearts, will He gather home. Are you saying there is no room in the inn, or will you open up the door of your heart and let him in?
