Garden Ministry

Encouraging workers in the field of the Lord.

Working from the Inside

Welcome to Garden Ministry, where the soil of the mind is broken up, fertilized, and made ready for the toiling of the Holy Spirit.

Garden Ministry's purpose is to encourage the workers in the field of the Lord, and to keep them looking up to Jesus.

This is the ninth letter:

Text for the day: John 12:32

And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to myself."

Our Theme for the day: Working from the inside

It is said, "a few words spoken in private will often do more good than the whole done openly. To my brothers and sister in Christ we must ask our-selves two questions today. When was the last time as a worker for the Lord you prayed for the spirit of kindness and courtesy toward all man? And secondly, do you have a real interest and care for the souls in your trust? If you can truthfully say yes, then you are among one in a hundred who is ready for Jesus to come. As workers with Christ we are called to lift people to Jesus not our-selves, and I, "if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." This morning I talked to a lady who is a single mother who desires to give up, or commit suicide. You see she had lost a son about two years ago, and last month she lost one of her sisters. Then last week she lost her job, now this week she has been evicted from her home, and must be out in a month's time. Friends I am reminded of this quote from an inspired book called Gospel Workers, p. 185. "In Christ like sympathy the minister should come close to men individually, and seek to awaken their interest in the great things of eternal life. Their hearts may be as hard as the beaten highway, and apparently it may be a useless effort to present the Saviour to them; but while logic may fail to move, and argument be powerless to convince, the love of Christ, revealed in personal ministry, may soften the stony heart, so that the seed of truth can take root". Brothers and Sisters, you are Gods' ministers to the needs of man first, and then you must point them to Jesus. Go forward today in your calling, and don't look back, for "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." Luke 9:62

Our Prayer for today:

Please join us as we pray for those who are going through hard times right now, that Gods servants can find help for them and point them to Jesus.

Remember, you're the only Jesus some will ever see.

If you are blessed by these "uplifting gems", share them.
