Welcome to Garden Ministry, where the soil of the mind is broken up, fertilized, and made ready for the toiling of the Holy Spirit.
Garden Ministry's purpose is to encourage the workers in the field of the Lord, and to keep them looking up to Jesus.
This is the Tenth letter:
Text for the day: Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Our Theme for the day: Healers of the Brokenhearted
We can all share stories of healing and hope of how the Lord has healed and restored mankind back to the fullness of their created being. But did you know that God's healing power runs all through nature. If a tree is cut, if a human being is wounded or breaks a bone, nature begins at once to repair the injury. Even before the injury, the healing agencies are in readiness; and as soon the wound or breakage happens, every fiber of the repair system is bent to the work of restoration. So it is in the spiritual realm. Before sin created the need, God had provided the remedy for our restoration. Every soul that yields to temptation is wounded, and bruised, by the adversary; but wherever there is sin, there is the Saviour. It is Christ's work "to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, to set at liberty them that are bruised" Luke 4:18. Science and literature cannot bring into the darkened mind of men the light which the glorious gospel of the Son of God can bring. The Son of God alone can do the great work of illuminating the soul. No wonder Paul exclaims, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth" Romans 1:16. It is this healing power with words of hope that God has given to His church to set at liberty those who are oppressed, wounded, and bruised, by the adversary. We are called that ever fiber of our being be bent to the work of restoration and the healing of the brokenhearted. This week-end let us find someway of which we can unite our community's, and look to be prepared for further service in the Lord. Don't Give Up. Look Up!
