LET US

“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Galatians 5:21

This is the 281st letter:

Text for the day: 1 John 3:14-15 (NIV)

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him."

Our Theme for the day: “THE BLUEPRINT” Part 13 Human Life and it’s sacredness Part 3 LET US

Our Devotional

Through history, there have been many articles written to answer the question by mankind of the origin and sacredness of life. Although many things have been written, the only answer to this question can be found in the Bible, and those who reject or neglect this divine revelation will fail in this life and the world to come. The six commandment, brings men if they obeyed it, back to the awareness that they are their brothers keepers.

The six commandment forbids the taking of human life because of enmity or hatred. It includes any human life, whether it be our own by suicide, or that of a fellow being, Genesis 9:5-6 / Acts 16:28 / 1 John 3:15. Life is a gift from God, and we have no right to take what he cannot restore. On the subject of murder and the six commandment, is there a hidden truth that has been left dormant because we did not look under the surface? I submit to you yes, “Murder is satanic, and the devil is the root of all murder from the first murder outside the gates of Paradise, and all murder to this present day.” Murder is a sin against God, and those who commit it, will stand condemned before the judgment of God. But if any one kills someone by accident, God will forgive them. Read Numbers 35 for further information on this point.

Finally, many would be shocked at the thought of bad choices of the foods we put in our mouths. Today thousands are being seen by doctors for bad health because they allowed appetite and passion to control them. According to the Bible, it is the duty of all men to acquaint themselves with the laws of health and obey them to the best of one’s ability.

We should never eat, drink, and put anything in our veins or anything to our mouth because we feel like it. To every action, there is a reaction. Our appetite should never be made the end to a means, but the means to an end. We should eat to live and not live to eat. Today we have the power in our hands to make a difference in our world, by putting down our weapons of war, and picking up our diplomacy of peace. Let us work and live together as brothers and sisters in our countries, homes, governments, and churches. Let us help one another, instead of pulling down one another. Let us encourage our families to do all they can, to have a better quality of life, and be prepared for Jesus when He comes.

Let's joyfully employ these concepts, precepts and Biblical guidelines into our daily activities. Pray that daily, our footsteps will be ordered in HIS word. Let the words from our mouths be acceptable in HIS sight. HE is our LORD and our Redeemer.

Our Devotional

As I was passing a bus stop on middle road Devonshire Bermuda yesterday, I saw some graffiti which someone wrote on the bus seating area, “Kill all Philippines.” In that moment, I said, “O No,” “Who would promote such a disgraceful sign, and why has this trash not been cleaned up”! After my immediate reaction to this sign, I couldn’t help but think about my brothers and sisters from the Philippines who are married, or are guest workers in Bermuda. What would they think of this sign if they saw it?

Let me pause by saying, in light of the problems many countries are facing with violence and murder on ethnic and religious groups, Bermuda is still a beautiful place to work and live. Words can be encouraging, or discouraging. Be they spoken, or written, but these words where not just discouraging, but outright rude. How many of us take time to think before we speak, or write something? This is one of the biggest problems to unrest and violence in all countries. Jesus, in speaking to this matter, said no one says or does anything by accident. If the heart is right, our words, and actions would be right, Luke 6:45.

Paul said: "the poison of asps (an asp is a deadly viper) is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness" Romans 3:14. In our world today, there are so many Christians bringing shame to the name of Christ by their lawless attitude because they have liberty in Christ. But does our liberty in Christ give a Christian the right to have a zero restriction on their actions and make them free to do or say anything, without regard for others? No! If anyone does this, then that is what is called reverse legalism and is just as wrong as legalism. God in the six commandment said, “Thou shalt not kill.” But has it ever occurred to you that God was not just speaking of physical murder, but murdering someone with our words, be they written or spoken.

As you reflect on the way you talk or send mail to your friends about that person who gets on your last nerve, you have to admit like I must admit that my words are not always true reflection of the God who we claim to worship. If you can’t control your tongue and find yourself always bringing down people, then you must ask God to help you speak words that will only glorify Jesus. The Bible says one day we all shall be justified, or condemned by our words, Matthew 12:37.

If you are one who has a problem in this area, then today is the day to start speaking

“Sound words” 2 Timothy 1:13

"Wholesome words" 1 Timothy 6:3

"Comforting words" 1 Thessalonians 4:18

Ask God to set an example through you to all men, in life, in love, in faith and in purity, Titus 2:7-8 / 1 Timothy 4:12.

Finally, these are some further Bible text on how to speak one to another.

1. There is one whose rash words are like a swords thrust, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18

2. But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. Matthew 15:18

3. Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

4. I tell you; on the Day of Judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, Matthew 12:36.

5. Learn to speak gracious words, for they are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Proverbs 16:24

6. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. Colossians 3:8

7. Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. Proverbs 13:3

8. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless. James 1:26

9. Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble. Proverbs 21:23

10. A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. Proverbs 15:4

11. A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

12. Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 29:20

13. Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Proverbs 17:27

14. Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9

15. Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent. Proverbs 17:28

16. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. Proverbs 25:11

17. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly. Proverbs 15:2

18. Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent. Proverbs 11:12

19. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Yahweh, my rock, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

20. Matthew 12:24 / Romans 3:13-14 / Psalm 19:14 / Ephesians 5:4 / James 3:1-12

JESUS IS THE ANSWER

Jesus is the answer for the world today, above him there's no other Jesus is the way. Jesus is the answer for the world today, above him there's no other Jesus is the way. If you have some questions in the corners of your mind, and traces of discouragement and peace you cannot find. Reflections of the old past, they seem to face you everyday. There's one thing I know for sure that Jesus is away.

I know you got mountains that you think you cannot climb, I know that your skies have been dark; you think the sun won't shine. In case you don't know, the word of God is true, and everything that he promised, he would do it for you.” By Andrae Crouch

No matter what the problem is, Jesus is the answer.

This is the 279th letter:

Text for the day: Exodus 20:13 (King James Version)

Thou shalt not kill.

Our Theme for the day: “THE BLUEPRINT” Part 11 Human Life and it’s sacredness Part 1 Jesus is the answer

Our Devotional

Today gunmen have shot dead a farm worker. This leader, Secundino Ruiz of Honduras was murdered in a region with heightened tension over land ownership. Police said Mr Ruiz was killed as he was leaving a bank in the Bajo Aguan valley carrying the equivalent of more than $10,000 (£6,000) in workers' pay.

This sickening disease of murdering someone deliberately or premeditatedly is unlawful, according to the Bible. Infect, the six commandment, if anyone has a problem with it, refers to the premeditated, or unjustified killing of someone. Long before there was an earthly court, God had already established a court system, and the value of human life. Looking back at the first 2500 years of men’s existence, Bible students agree, that the principle of the six commandment like the other nine was handed down from generation to generation by mouth God of Gods called out people.

From the day of the first murder on earth until now, we have witnessed a long line of unlawful killings, deliberate, and premeditated. The spirit of 'no value' on life has become the order of the day, and many are waking up in the morning to learn of some bloodshed. It is because of this indiscriminate slaughter, that many people have an unconcern for the news. Take a walk through the streets and you will hear the people say, “we are tidied of bad new, give us some hope for the value of life.” If some countries don’t have a killing within a week, the media would become angered and say, it was not a good week for news.

What has brought us to this spirit of widespread extermination by killing different nations, ethnic groups, religious groups, and one another? The answer can be found in Jesus words to the disciples in Matthew 24:12. He said, “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Iniquity, this is the sin that only you and God knows about. This is the plastic smile person, the pat on your back person, or the ready to say yes person. These types of people seem to be okay, but their heart is not in the right place, they come to you with a different motive. Like Cain, they walk around with anger, and a spirit of dejection, but only God knows about it, Genesis 4:5.

Today there is help for the person who is living under this cloud; inflecting harm to the point of death on someone. Little do most persons who commit murder realize that they will only be accepted by God if they do right, and repent. But if they refuse to do what is right- then watch out! Sin is crouching at their door, eager to control them. Let us surrender our hate and anger to Jesus. Attacking someone like Cain, and killing someone is not the answer, Jesus is the answer, Genesis 4:6-8.

If we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts, 1 John 1:7-10. As the murder rate climbs in most countries, let us pray that God will step in, and offer salvation to as many people as will receive it before He comes. Remember, it doesn’t matter where you come from, or what you have done in life, if you confess your sins you will personally see, that Jesus is the answer, 1 John 1:9.

LOVE AT HOME Part 3 Bring back the days

This is the 278th letter:

Text for the day: Ephesians 6:1-3 (King James Version)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Our Theme for the day: “THE BLUEPRINT” Part 10 (LOVE AT HOME Part 3 Bring back the days)

Our Devotional

With all the unrest in the world today among our youth, many are asking the question, where did we go wrong? It is evident, based upon our series that the cause of our downfall is the lack of respect for the fifth commandment. While this command applies primarily to the honoring of parents, in a broader sense it includes respect for all who are in positions of leadership and authority, 1 Timothy 5:17 / Hebrews 13:17.

If we teach our children how to honor all who are superior in position, senior in age and experience, in thought, speech, attitude, and conduct, we will all have respectable leaders in every country of the world. The lack of respect we see and hear among the leaders of our day, are an outburst of the lack of respect in the home. Our text today reminds us that long life, material prosperity, and success are promised to all, as a reward for obedience to the fifth commandment.

Obedience to parental, and civil authority, sets the ground-work for our obedience to God and His divine law. A study was done of Jews around the world of why they prosper in all areas of their life. The findings where astonishing. The Jews around the world are noted for their respect and honor to parents, and those of old age. This is the noblest contribution of their heritage. It is said of these people that they follow the command of God, of the fifth commandment, not just in word, but in deed, as found in Deuteronomy 5:16 / Leviticus 19:3.

Finally, girls and boys who learn how to honor their parents will respect the lives of others everywhere. But to those who don’t show respect to parental guidance, it is assured that hardship, sickness, and an early death will follow them. We can not over look this command, because “disobedience to parents” is one of the nineteen sins of the last days, 2 Timothy 3:15. It is clear that every sin listed in Paul’s letters written to Timothy, are the direct and or indirect results of the home. The home is ether the incubator of righteousness and good will to all man, or the incubator of sin and the breeding place of crime, and violence.

Parents, you have a heavenly responsibility from God. You are called to nurture, train, and discipline your children, and your children’s, children after the patterned of the LORD, Proverbs 22:6. Remember as parents you are not called to provoke and leave your children to themselves, but work with them for their good, Ephesians 6:4 / Colossians 3:21. May you be blessed by God in the training of your children, that all may have love at home.
