Kevina was in a borderline comatose condition to allow her to rest for a few more days. She is not heavily sedated anymore, but she does still have the breathing tube in her. As Karon and I walked into her room today calling her name, she opened her eyes to our voices.
Lastly, I am also asking prayer for Kevinas’ three year old daughter Karis who longs to have her by her side. Our son Jonathan who is due to graduate this week-end from Southern University, Karon my wife who has been at her side, and myself who has been running back and forth.
Through the years I have often learned that the Christian life is beset by many dangers, and duty seems too hard to perform. . . . Yet the voice of God speaks clearly, 'Go forward' like He speak to the children of Israel in Exodus 14:15. May we obey this command, even though our eyes cannot penetrate the darkness, and we feel the cold waves about our feet. . . . Remember, those who defer obedience till every shadow of uncertainty disappears and there remains no risk of failure or defeat, will never obey at all."
