BLESS THE LORD WITH ME

Have you ever had something magnificent happen in your life or in the life of a love one that cause you to shout HALLELUJAH, THANK YOU LORD IN JESUS NAME? What about while you are thanking God for the blessing in answer to prayer, someone says to you. Be quiet you are making too much noise. Well may I be the first to say that GOD IS GOOD!

Yesterday May 10^th 2015 as my wife Karon, granddaughter Karis, and I was sitting in the Chattanooga Convention Center waiting for our son Jonathans’ graduation to start. Karon notice that someone had called her. As she replayed the message on the phone, to her surprise it was the voice of Kevina. Yes Kevina! Karon could not contain her-self and said, “Kevin, listen, listen, its Kevina”. As I listen for a few moments. All we could do was thank God.

Then I got up and walked over quickly to Brother Joe and his family who had come to the center from Bermuda for their daughter who was graduating and said, “Listen its Kevina”. Oh what gladness filled our hearts to hear her voice and see the hand of God working on behalf of so many people’s prayers upon the Lord for life and perfect health for Kevina.

As the graduation started and the students came into the hall, I stood by and shouted out loud to Jonathan as he was walking by, “She is awake, Kevina is awake!” As I looked around I saw a big smile on the face of a colleague, (Pastor John Nixon), for even he was praying for the will of God to be manifested. When I got back to my seat, Karon and I sent off a quick text message to family and friends of what the Lord had done.

What a blessing it is to give God all the praise. Before the afternoon finished, the nurse called us again so Kevina could speak to us and wish her brother Jonathan congratulations on his graduation and Karon a Happy Mother’s Day.  After the days’ festivity, we got back to the apartment and I went off to sleep with thanks on my lips to God, while Karon continued on telling as many people as she could of what God had done. Today no rocks will cover my praise as we have seen the hand of the Lord over Kevina.

Yet there may be some who would wish for us to stop our praise like in the days of Jesus when they said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that [giving Jesus praise for all He was doing and for coming in the name of the Lord]!' and He replied, 'If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!'” Luke 19: 39-40

Today no rocks will sing my praise as I’m reminded of the words of Isaiah, “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. Isaiah 38:18. Like Moses we can all say, “O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? Deuteronomy 3:24

The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2

“I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, I will praise the greatness of our God! Like David we can all say, “Therefore I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name.” 2 Samuel 22:50

As I called the hospital at 6:05 am this morning to ask about Kevina, they said the tubes are out and she eat some food last night. They are looking at a possible move of her from the ICU ward to a regular ward today. There is still a way to go they say, but they are amazed with her progress. GLORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, HALLELUJAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
