The Lord, he it is that
doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither
forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8
As we enter the beginning of this week-end,
let us consider these questions. Can we trust God to provide for the
necessities of life in our present daily walk with-Him? When called upon by God
to witness for Him, what will your testimony be? The psalmist says, "I
have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread" (Ps. 37:25). We often bestow anxious concern
on our physical needs, but God assures us that He is aware of these and will
see that we have what is necessary.
When the time of trouble bursts upon God's
people during their journey to the heavenly Canaan, He will provide for their
physical and spiritual needs as surely as He did for Israel of old. It doesn't matter what your going through, God will take care of you.
Today I want to share an update of thanks to
God by allowing Kevina and some of her friends to speak. She had finished her
last proton radiation treatment today and then she was taken to a rehab center
near by Mass. General Hospital for further treatments to help her walk better.
{This was written by Kevina
our daughter}- “
All I want is to be used by God, by any means
possible! I just can't thank Him enough right now! The Lord brought me from the
grip of death and is using me to be a light for Him! How amazing is that? I'm
overwhelmed with thanks to everyone who is supporting me in prayer,
financially, and in any way! I thank you all! Today I am finish with radiation
and go to rehab tomorrow because I'm not walking all that well. But I told all
I can't wait to ring that bell so look out for pics! I still have a way to go
but I'm enjoying this experience! I truly am thankful for this trial! Stay
positive with me my luvs! God is not done with me!”
I Love the Lord:

“Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto
Thy name give glory, for Thy mercy, and for Thy truth’s sake.” Psalm 115:1
"I didn't deserve to win it. I did what
I had to do. But he was the rightful winner.” These were the words of Ivan
Fernandez Anaya, a Spanish runner who showed the world that sometimes, just
sometimes, winning isn’t everything. Ivan went on to say, “He created such a gap
that I couldn't have closed if he hadn't made a mistake. As soon as I saw he
was stopping, I knew I wasn't going to pass him." According to El Pais, it
happened as the 24-year-old raced a cross-country event in Burlada, Navarre on
Dec. 2, 2013.
In second place to Abel Mutai, the Kenyan
athlete who won a bronze medal in the London Olympics, Anaya suddenly had
a chance to surge ahead. According to El Pais, Mutai mistakenly thought
that the end of the race came about 10 meters sooner than it did and stopped
running. Then, he “looked back and saw the people telling him to keep going,"
Anaya told CNA. "But since he doesn't speak Spanish, he didn't realize
it." So, Anaya slowed down and guided Mutai to the actual finish
line. Ivan impressed the world by giving up the victory to do the right thing.
Today, we may ask ourselves, “What am I
giving up to do the right thing that someone else may succeed?” This morning
around 7:13 a.m., I got a call from Boston Mass. General Hospital. It was our
daughter Kevina. With such a beautiful voice, she said, “Dad I’m out of the ICU
into a general ward for those with cancer.” She went on to say, “after I got up
this morning and spent time with Jesus, I wanted to call you to say I love you.
Dad, after worship with God, I didn’t want to turn on the TV in my room. All I
wanted was to do was spend some time with you.”
I called Karon and Karis, and we all had
worship with Kevina by phone. As my wife Karon closed our worship with prayer
before we hung up, Kevina said, “Dad I thank God for this experience and test.”
We will see her soon.
What are you willing to give up for the
success of another? I don’t know what your answer is, but there’s something you
need to know if you want to achieve success. As John Morgan suggests, “It has
nothing to do with the skills you have learned, the education you may need, or
the resources you have to tap into. If
you want success, you need to know what you’re willing to give up. For
most, success means adding something to life. Whether that is happiness, a soul
mate, a new job, or more money, it’s all about addition. The reality is that if
you want to add something to your life that represents success, then something
has to give.
You’ve been taught that success isn’t easy,
but that’s not always the case. Sometimes, it’s a lot easier than we build it
up to be. One thing about success, that is without a doubt completely true, is
that it is never convenient. That’s why you must be willing to sacrifice and
give up comfort and convenience in order to achieve success.”
To this date, May 12, 2015, we have seen how
God has brought Kevina to a place where she had to give up many things to
receive the success of the Lord in her life. As I was reading the message of
the Lord from Exodus 15:1-21 to my family this morning, Kevina started to sing
the verses from memory. When she had finish singing, I want on to Revelation
15:2-4, and she started to sing again. What joy we sense this morning by the
moving of the Holy Spirit in our midst and her heavenly singing.
Then, God reminded me of a quotation that
reads, “This song and the great deliverance, which it commemorates made an
impression never to be effaced from the memory of the Hebrew people. From age
to age it was echoed by the prophets and singers of Israel, testifying that
Jehovah is the strength and deliverance of those who trust in Him. That song
does not belong to the Jewish people alone. It points forward to the
destruction of all the foes of righteousness and the final victory of the
Israel of God. The prophet of Patmos beholds the white-robed multitude that
have “gotten the victory,” standing on the “sea of glass mingled with fire,”
having “the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God,
and the song of the Lamb.” (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 289)
Let us remember people like Kevina, who have
been given another change by God, to testify of His goodness according to their
gift and ministry through sacrifice.

Have you ever had something magnificent
happen in your life or in the life of a love one that cause you to shout HALLELUJAH,
THANK YOU LORD IN JESUS NAME? What about while you are thanking God for the
blessing in answer to prayer, someone says to you. Be quiet you are making too
much noise. Well may I be the first to say that GOD IS GOOD!
Yesterday May 10th 2015 as my wife
Karon, granddaughter Karis, and I was sitting in the Chattanooga Convention
Center waiting for our son Jonathans’ graduation to start. Karon notice that
someone had called her. As she replayed the message on the phone, to her
surprise it was the voice of Kevina. Yes Kevina! Karon could not contain her-self
and said, “Kevin, listen, listen, its Kevina”. As I listen for a few moments. All
we could do was thank God.
Then I got up and walked over quickly to
Brother Joe and his family who had come to the center from Bermuda for their
daughter who was graduating and said, “Listen its Kevina”. Oh what gladness
filled our hearts to hear her voice and see the hand of God working on behalf
of so many people’s prayers upon the Lord for life and perfect health for
Kevina.
As the graduation started and the students
came into the hall, I stood by and shouted out loud to Jonathan as he was
walking by, “She is awake, Kevina is awake!” As I looked around I saw a big
smile on the face of a colleague, (Pastor John Nixon), for even he was praying
for the will of God to be manifested. When I got back to my seat, Karon and I
sent off a quick text message to family and friends of what the Lord had done.
What a blessing it is to give God all the
praise. Before the afternoon finished, the nurse called us again so Kevina
could speak to us and wish her brother Jonathan congratulations on his
graduation and Karon a Happy Mother’s Day. After the days’ festivity, we got back to the
apartment and I went off to sleep with thanks on my lips to God, while Karon
continued on telling as many people as she could of what God had done. Today no
rocks will cover my praise as we have seen the hand of the Lord over Kevina.
Yet there may be some who would wish for us
to stop our praise like in the days of Jesus when they said, “Teacher, rebuke
your followers for saying things like that [giving Jesus praise for all He was
doing and for coming in the name of the Lord]!' and He replied, 'If they kept
quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!'” Luke 19: 39-40
“In a society where dirt sells, for every
good story told as it is, you will hear the whole of that day ten bad stories sensationalized;
although in reality, it could be that 100 good deeds happened that day which
went unsung.” ― Criss Jami
Today no rocks will sing my praise as I’m
reminded of the words of Isaiah, “For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot
celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.
Isaiah 38:18. Like Moses we can all say, “O Lord GOD, thou hast begun to show
thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven
or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? Deuteronomy
3:24
The LORD is my strength and my defense; he
has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God,
and I will exalt him. Exodus 15:2
“I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, I
will praise the greatness of our God! Like David we can all say, “Therefore I
will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your
name.” 2 Samuel 22:50
As I called the hospital at 6:05 am this
morning to ask about Kevina, they said the tubes are out and she eat some food
last night. They are looking at a possible move of her from the ICU ward to a
regular ward today. There is still a way to go they say, but they are amazed
with her progress. GLORYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY, HALLELUJAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Good evening Colleagues and Prayer Warriors,
Today we are ever thankful to God for the
helping hands He has sent to help Kevina. She is still in the ICU, but calm and
peaceful. Her RN (nurse) said nothing has changed, but they were able to take
her off some more medicines today. With that said they advised me to consider
standing by our son with my wife, as he walks on the stage to receive his diploma
on Sunday May 10th.
At the same time our wonderful nephew Craig said
that he would be more than willing to stand in for me and be with Kevina until
I get back. With all these helping hand, what more can one do but commit Kevina
to the great physician and walk by faith. I must admit, it was not easy boarding
that flight, but by faith I believe it was the right thing to do. As a parent
one must be forced beyond the natural to the supernatural at times when you are
called upon to support your children.
If you could have only seen Jonathan face, what
a moment it was to see him have his mom and dad with him this evening at one of
his programs. I had to get same sleep as I have been going since getting back
to Boston. Maybe this is Gods’ way of giving both Karon and I some rest for a few
days.
I still need some much needed rest with all
the traveling to be ready for one of the biggest days in Jonathan our sons’
life, his graduation. Today I have a new
meaning to faith. Faith is looking death in the eyes and seeing God pull back
life through prayer. Faith is walking the road of the unknown by yourself and
only God understand your deepest feelings. Faith is being forced to leave your
daughter in an ICU room with only God and angels, and a nephew going by to bring
comfort. Faith is leaving all in Gods’ hand and walking out of the ICU room and
boarding a flight to bring joy to another family member.
The apostle Paul was right when he wrote
under inspiration, "We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). The Bible
challenges us to "walk by faith, not by sight." This task is as
unnatural as walking with our eyes closed. But the more steps we take, the more
comfortable this walk will be come, and the more confident we will be of the
destination of our walk. And ultimately that's what faith is all about - it is
"the substance of things hoped for, the evidence or assurance of things
not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1).
“Hope itself is
like a star- not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, (but) only to be
discovered in the night of adversity.” – Charles H. Spurgeon
Faith has always been the hallmark of God's servants from the beginning of the
world. Where the principle is planted by the regenerating Spirit of God, it
will cause the truth to be received with it reward. May God grant to you the object
of your hope, through the lessons of faith.
Thank you for remembering Kevina and in your
sincere prayers of intercession. We love all of you.

Good day Colleagues and Prayer Warriors
We didn't have much sleep last night. May be two or three hours as all we could do was pray. It was decided that Karon should go and stand beside Jonathan during his big weekend. Congratulations Jonathan for a job well done, you have done your best with so much on your mind, and worked to help us with your school fees and needs. We all love you.
After leaving the airport at 5:30 am, God had me to speak to a West Africa man from Liberia about the Bible and Biblical history. Please pray for him as he has many questions he said after our encounter. At 6:00 am the Lord would have for me to meet another man at the train station with a guitar. After we got talking, he let me minister to him through song. His words to me where, “Thank you for blessing me today.” Upon leaving I told him to be faithful to Jesus for He is soon to come. As I looked in his eyes, all he could say after putting his hand over his heart was, “I will.”
As I got to the ICU, praise God, all the staff seem like they know I was coming. As they walked me to Kevinas’ room at around 7:35 am, Kevina opened her eyes wide as I came into the room talking. Kevina has been blessed to be helped by some of the best team of health care providers in the world. Today her Nurses Jocelyn and Tanya are doing their best to keep her comfortable. Dr. Megan came in to see me after Nurse Jocelyn called her. All the Doctor could say was, “I have more good news for you. “Kevinas’ antibiotics have been reduced overnight to only one today.” Praise God!!!!!!!!!!! This is another praise moment. “O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:3
Kevina is resting comfortably and I am by her side. Her lungs will need to time to recover but that she has made remarkable strides over the last few days. God is answering our prayers. On behalf of our family we want to thank so many people who have come beside us during the test. Some of you have asked, “How can I help in a financial way?” You can send those funds to the Bank of Butterfield Bermuda to Kevina Santucci Medical Fund: 060-156-202-0013.
If you have one minute today, say a pray for Kevina. I am asking for God to move her out of the ICU today if it be His will, but if not, He will take her off the last antibiotic. Will you pray this prayer with me? Chaplain Kevin Santucci

Good evening Colleagues and Prayer Warriors,
I am asking for your sincere prayers of intercession for Kevina Santucci. As it now stands. Kevina has overcome death on Monday evening as it has been brought to our attention today by the staff of the ICU in the Mass. General Hospital in Boston. They said of the five antibiotics that were keeping her alive with the life support machine, the doctors have now reduced her antibiotics to two today. Kevina was in a borderline comatose condition to allow her to rest for a few more days. She is not heavily sedated anymore, but she does still have the breathing tube in her. As Karon and I walked into her room today calling her name, she opened her eyes to our voices.
Lastly, I am also asking prayer for Kevinas’ three year old daughter Karis who longs to have her by her side. Our son Jonathan who is due to graduate this week-end from Southern University, Karon my wife who has been at her side, and myself who has been running back and forth.
Through the years I have often learned that the Christian life is beset by many dangers, and duty seems too hard to perform. . . . Yet the voice of God speaks clearly, 'Go forward' like He speak to the children of Israel in Exodus 14:15. May we obey this command, even though our eyes cannot penetrate the darkness, and we feel the cold waves about our feet. . . . Remember, those who defer obedience till every shadow of uncertainty disappears and there remains no risk of failure or defeat, will never obey at all."

Thank you everyone.

Good day Prayer Warriors,
Thank you for your continual prayers and faithfulness to your commitment for Kevina's our daughter with a rare cancer in her head and our family. Over the last twenty hours Kevina has been readmitted back to the hospital in Boston. This morning her health had gone downhill and was taken to ICU at Mass General Hospital and is in URGENT need of your prayers right now please.
Her blood pressure is very low and they don't know why at this time. Also there is something in her left lung. They are waiting for a team to come and do some testing on her to find out what is really going on. But may I say as my wife and I had worship this morning,
God spoke to us and said, "The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Exodus 14:14. As we closed our worship with prayer, we parted to only have this news put in our face. They have put a breathing tube in her and she will be out for a few days. Pray for Karon, Jonathan, and Karis. May we all wait on the victory in this for Kevina, in the Lord.
This is the victory song by Juanita Bynum and Jonathan Butler:
