Many in our world are sailing in a dangerous harbor with-out a captain. They are in need a pilot; but they scorn to accept the much-needed help, feeling that they are competent to guide their own ship, and not realizing that it is about to strike a hidden rock that will cause them to make shipwreck of their faith and bring unhappiness to others. The call today is to become diligent students of the Bible, that you may avoid the hidden rocks of setbacks in this life.

Our Devotional
It has being two days since God awoke me about 4:30 to write this devotional. Every moment I had before ministering, or after ministering in teaching mankind about God’s will or visiting those in need, I have come back to writing as God would open my mind. This is the message that He has given.
With inflation rate on the Consumer Prices Index rising to between 2.3% to 4% in most countries these days, many are asking the question, is this the time of no return? When one looks at the retail prices index, which includes mortgage interest payments. We can all agree that it won’t be long before someone says that we must put a stop to these high rates, which is surpressing the joy of the people.
The question is can things change? Yes things can change! But things can only change if the right pressure is put on our banks to lift interest rates and curb rising inflation. In the interest of all, there is something we need to know. Believe it or not most banks across our lands are also concern with the way the economy is going also, and they are looking for answers to this problem because they don’t have it. Could it be that there is someone else, or a secret organization that is really controlling things? “With the new direction and further changes that are to take place be good or bad in banking they must come.” One of these changes has led to the recent recall of mortgages by banks. This is not a new thing! If you look back with me to the 1930’s this was one of the pillars that was used to bring about the great recession. Let me say again, “The new direction and further changes that will take place in banking will be good and bad. Good to the banks, but bad to most people with mortgages.” At this point many of you may be asking the question, what or who gives me the right to make such comments? God gives me the right! It was Him who woke me up with this word for His people. As Dr. Martin Luther King said when he was questioned to who gave him the right to speak like he did. His reply was, “History has thrust me into this position. It would be both immoral and a sign of ingratitude if I did not face my moral responsibility to do what I can in this struggle.” So it is that I must do what I can, and you must do what you can, to help God’s people morally, socially, mentally, and spiritually.
History is our greatest teacher! During the economic slump known as the Great Depression in North America, Europe, and other industrialized areas of the world that began in 1929 and lasted until about 1939. Note this was the longest and most severe depression ever experienced by the industrialized Western world. Just before this great depression, the retail prices index or (RPI) inflation - which includes mortgage interest payments rose, and the people where told to pay it. But what really happen was that banks sold out, and the new owners came in with no respect for those with mortgages. These new owners had one thing in mind, their money. But notice the money was called in, at a season when the people had no money.
Most people where farmers in those days, and in order to meet the demand of the banks, people had to sell their property and heritage. These demands by the banks led to a higher rate of people forced to rent that which once belonged to them. This is only part of the story! The same thing is happening today, many families are losing their homes, and many businesses are folding up. But before we get upset with the facts; let us ask ourselves some questions? Does God have a hand in this? Is He trying to get our attention? Has God allowed things to run its course so that He can get our eyes off this earth, and put it on Jesus who is soon to come? Finally, what is God’s plan in helping those in the 21st century with their needs?
You will be surprised that God’s plan has not changed. Infact He reminds us in Isaiah 33:15-16; “He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.” Job was right; we must all be tried to see what we are made of. But I’m determined like Job, “When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold!”
My brothers and sisters, if ever there was a time when we needed to understand our spiritual condition and our present duty to mankind and our world it is now. As you look about us these days, truth is fallen in the streets, and equity can not enter. The time has come that Satan has come down in great power, to work with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish. This is the shaking time which we are in, and everything that can be shaken will be shaken; that those things which can not be shaken may remain. May God help us to remain!!!

Two day ago we prayed for two ladies, Rosetta Fox, and Pearline Fox Viera. Sad to say they both died on the same day we prayed for them with-in hours of each other. They are family, the wife and sister of Nelson Fox Sr. of Bermuda. Let us hold up the Fox, Viera family in our prayer today. And May God keep them through this time of great lose. They are also my cousins.
