THE BENEFITS OF SEAMOSS AND THE BIBLE

Today’s devotional is a little long. It is dedicated to those who have gone through something, those who are going through something, and those who are about to go through something. Remember, your test will be your testimony.

If you would like to go on a new venture of better health. I encourage you to start adding Sea Moss or Irish Sea Moss to your diet.

Doctors are saying sea moss is one of the most effective natural remedies to give your bones all the essential nutrients so they get healthy and stay healthy and strong.

This wonderful herb from the sea has many other health benefits that can help you. I found out that you can obtain it from the Caribbean Market Cousins Shop On Court St. or you may find it at a market near you.

Although I am not a professional at making sea moss yet. I will try, and try some more.

Look at the top ten benefits of sea moss. By Bhupesh Panchal. Note, there are much more benefits that are not listed.

“Often claimed to be a brand-new superfood, there are some possible health benefits to adding sea moss to your diet. However, before you start taking sea moss in any form, it's important that you check with your GP to make sure it is safe for you to do so.

Here are the top 10 potential benefits of sea moss:

1.   It might support your digestive function

Sea moss is a good source of live bacteria and fibre, which are known to support gut health.

2.  It could support your thyroid

Sea moss contains iodine, which is good for your thyroid and potentially provides support for weight loss. However, if you're already taking medication to support your lack of iodine it's probably worth researching this further.

3.  It could give you more energy

Sea moss contains iron, which is a great way to support your energy levels. A lack of iron can make you feel tired and lethargic.

4.  It could help to nourish your skin

Sea moss contains magnesiumvitamin Avitamin K, and omega-3 fatty acids that hydrate and support healthy skin cell function.

5.  It could support your immuity

While there's no specific human study, one study into salmon suggested that sea moss can help build the body’s immune response.

6.  It's thought to help support your mood

Sea moss has about two times more potassium than an average-sized banana. Potassium is a very important mineral that helps to support mental and emotional health.

7.   It could support your heart health

Some studies suggest that sea moss can lower cholesterol and help thin the blood. However, this isn't proven and requires more human research.

8.  It may help manage your blood sugar

One study into seaweeds, like sea moss, found the compound fucoxanthin, which is thought to normalise high blood sugar levels.

9.  It’s believed to be an aphrodisiac

Caribbean natives have been using sea moss as a natural aphrodisiac for many years. Its high zinc content is thought to increase sex hormones that play a key role in libido levels.

10.                 It could support your overall health and wellness

Sea moss is a powerful superfood that is full of minerals and nutrients that can help your body run healthy.

However, it’s worth remembering that there isn’t a lot of research around the benefits of sea moss, and it can’t provide all the nutrients you need. Stick to a healthy and balanced diet and use sea moss as a supplement if you want to.

Summary:

There are many claims to the health benefits of sea moss, but my word to all is, try it and see what benefits you receive.

Like sea moss, the Bible has many benefits for those who are seeking help and comfort in dealing with tough questions..

The Bible says:

God can help is in the midst of our storms. - Psalms 107:28-30, NKJV. “Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.  He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.”

Wait in trust when things are not going right; God will help you. - Psalms 33:20, NKJV. “Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.”

We can look to God for deliverance from our enemies. - Psalms 37:39-40, NKJV. “But the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him.”

God is the help of those who are in need. - Psalms 40:17, NKJV. “But I am poor and needy; Yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God.”

No matter the circumstances in life, you can still have hope and praise God. -Psalms 42:11, NKJV. “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God."

God will help those that seek Him and keeps them close to Himself. -Psalms 63:7-8, NKJV. “Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.”

God hears your cries and is ready to help if you call. - Psalms 72:12, NKJV. “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.”

God is your defense. - Psalms 94:16-19, NKJV. “Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity? Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, your comforts delight my soul.”

Sometimes we must look higher for help, than what any person can help us with- Psalms 108:12-13, NKJV. “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies”

We can find hope in God’s Word. - Psalms 119:147, NKJV. “I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word.”

We can trust God in His justice and mercy to help us at all times. - Psalms 146:5-7, NKJV. “Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.

What is God’s promises about money, finances, prosperity, employment, and filling your needs? - Psalms 34:9-10, NKJV. "Oh, fear the Lord, you, His saints! there is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”

God will take care of your day-to-day needs. - Matthew 6:31-34, NKJV. “Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

All of our needs will be supplied. - Philippians 4:19, NKJV. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

God does not hold back anything that is for our benefit or good. Psalm 84:11, TLB. "For Jehovah God is our Light and our Protector. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk along his paths."

God is our strength. - “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

What is God’s promise to hold your hand at all times. - Isaiah 41:11, NKJV. “For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’”

What have we to fear? - Hebrews 13:6, NKJV. “So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’”

Summary:

“There is nothing more calculated to strengthen the intellect than a study of the Bible. No other book is so potent to elevate the thoughts, to give vigor to the faculties, as the broad, ennobling truths of the Bible. If God's Word were studied as it should be, men would have a breadth of mind, a nobility of character, that is rarely seen in these times.

No knowledge is so firm, so consistent, so far-reaching, as that obtained from a study of the Word of God. If there were not another book in the wide world, the Word of God, lived out through the grace of Christ, would make man perfect in this world, with a character fitted for the future, immortal life. Those who study the Word, taking it in faith as the truth, and receiving it into the character, will be complete in Him who is all and in all. Thank God for the possibilities set before humanity....

The time devoted to a study of God's Word and to prayer will bring a hundredfold in return.

The Word of God is the living seed, and as this seed is sown in the mind, the human agent must give diligent care to the successive stages of its growth. How is this to be done? After the Word has been prayerfully received, it is to be cherished, and practiced in the daily life. It is to spring up and bear fruit, putting forth first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear.

It is not enough to study the Bible as other books are studied. In order for it to be understood savingly, the Holy Spirit must move on the heart of the searcher. The same Spirit that inspired the Word must inspire the reader of the Word. Then will be heard the voice of heaven. “Thy Word, O God, is truth” will be the language of the soul.

The mere reading of the Word will not accomplish the result designed of Heaven; it must be studied, and cherished in the heart. The knowledge of God is not gained without mental effort. We should diligently study the Bible, asking God for the aid of the Holy Spirit, that we may understand His Word. We should take one verse, and concentrate the mind on the task of ascertaining the thought which God has put in that verse for us. We should dwell on the thought till it becomes our own, and we know “what saith the Lord.” ...

The Word of God is the bread of life. Those who eat and digest this Word, making it a part of every action and of every attribute of character, grow strong in the strength of God. It gives immortal vigor to the soul, perfecting the experience and bringing joys that will abide forever.”

As you go through your day, remember, “Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4.
