Good day Leaders and Prayer Warriors,
Thank you for your prayers for
our daughter Kevina Santucci while in hospital in Boston. The Lord
has blessed her again and she has been release from the rehab and is
improving gradually. There is still work to do on the part of the hospital
but she is in the apartment. As an outpatient we seek your prayers
for her timely pick up to and from the hospital, We are also seeking God for
her full recovery so we can all be back home in Bermuda as a family working for
the Lord. Over the months I have seen many people in the hospital when I
am there.
I am asking if you would remember these people in prayer, and also
remember my good friend Elder Nolan Smith who is many miles away
in John Hopkins Hospital recovering from the removal of
a tumor from his brain which was discovered to be cancerous. Remember, you
are the only life line some may ever see. On behalf of them, thank you for
the well wishes and gestures of kindness. In a special way as I am
asking for your continual prayers for me as I go back and
forth from Bermuda to Boston to help my wife with our daughter.
You can pass this prayer
request on to all who would be willing to pray.
Our
Message for the day
In the book of Revelation 7:1-3 we see five
angels. In the text, four of these angels are holding or restraining
the four winds so that no wind might blow on the earth. In the same
breath another angel is seen coming from the throne room of God with
a message for the four angels to hold the winds a little longer until the
servants of God are sealed in their foreheads. These angels standing
on the four corners of the earth are at the cardinal points of the earth,
restraining or holding back the winds. Winds in the Bible represent commotions
among the nations, wars, political movements, strife, etc. “Thus saith the Lord;
Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the
midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind; and will send unto
Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day
of trouble they shall be against her round about.” Jer. 51:1, 2 / Jer. 25:32 /
Jer. 49:36.
“John sees the elements of nature—earthquake, tempest, and
political strife—represented as being held by four angels. These winds are
under control until God gives the word to let them go. Our only safety in that
day will be found in Jesus. The angels of God do His bidding, holding back the
winds of the earth, that the winds should not blow on the earth, nor on the
sea, nor on any tree, until the servants of God should be sealed in their foreheads.”
Yet during this time while the angels of God
are holding the winds, a battle for the mind is going on in the earth among
Gods' people. Some are drawing closing to Jesus, and others are giving in to
their feelings and giving up the faith. Today like never before in the history
of the church of the Living God there is a shortfall in the faithfulness of
Gods' people to Him. Infect, we have seen a higher average of people not just
becoming unfaithful to their commitment to God, but they even rob Him. This
lack of consecration and faith to Him is world wide. But are we any different
from them? In many ways we have to admit that we have put other things before
God and a love for service. It is time for us all to awake, and do what is
right.
Let those who have been unfaithful be
faithful. Let those who have neglected to be faithful in their tithes and
offering to the Lord be faithful again. It is time to be honest in our dealings
with God and withheld nothing. We should never run a risk of being cursed of
Him. It is time for every religious and civic leader to do their duty
unto the Lord and not unto men. Labor from home to home, that the flock of God
shall not be remiss in this great matter of faithfulness, which involves
such a blessing or such a curse.
Let all who fear God come up to the help of
the Lord, and show themselves faithful stewards. It is time for the truth of
the living God to go to every part of the world before He executes His wrath
upon the disobedient. But to the obedient, He will give rich blessings; to the
transgressor, a curse. In this time while the angels are holding the winds,
every man who is called upon to bears the message of truth to the world must do
his duty by warning, educating, and rebuking. The Bible reminds us that any neglect
of duty on our part is robbery toward God.
The Lord will not hold guiltless those who
are deficient in doing the work that He requires at their hands--in seeing that
the church is kept wholesome and healthy spiritually, and doing all their duty
in allowing no neglect which will bring the threatened curse upon His people. A
curse is pronounced upon all who withhold their tithe from God. He says:
"Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, Wherein have we
robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have
robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse,
that there may be meat in Mine house."
This is not a request of man; it is one of
God's ordinances, whereby His work may be sustained and carried on in the
world. May God help us to repent. "Return unto Me," He says,
"and I will return unto you." No one can excuse himself from being
faithful in these matters.
The Lord bestows His gifts abundantly upon
all. He "so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Every blessing we have comes through Jesus Christ. Then shall we not arouse,
and do our duty toward God, upon whom we are dependent for life and health, but
the day will come when He will withhold His blessing from the disobedient,
and send a curse upon the unfaithful.
God has said, "Prove Me now herewith, .
. . if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing,
that there shall not be room enough to receive it." What a wonderful
presentation in promised blessings is He giving us! Who can venture to rob God
in tithes and offerings with such a promise as this! "And I will rebuke
the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your
ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,
saith the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall
be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts."
Another
year has nearly passed into eternity, with its burden of record. Let us look
over these last months, and if we have not done our full duty willingly, and heartily
unto the Lord, let us do so as we move forward, and say unto the Lord, “You're
My Everything”.
