Garden Ministry

Encouraging workers in the field of the Lord.

GOD IS

“There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on His Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. . . . Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God's Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord. . . .” By Charles H. Spurgeon

Text for the day: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6

Our Theme for the day: GOD IS

Our Devotional

A well informed public opinion is essential to the growth of political and social awareness. Only he who is informed can comment intelligently on his nation's development and only by such comments can errors be corrected and progress stimulated.” By Emperor Haile Selassie
The next time someone ask you who is God, what would be your answer? To help you in this matter, let us learn 20 lessons of truth from the Bible.
Tell them:
1.     God is eternal.
(Deuteronomy 33:27; Jeremiah 10:10; Psalm 90:2)
2.     God is infinite.
(1 Kings 8:22-27; Jeremiah 23:24; Psalm 102:25-27; Revelation 22:13)
3.     God is self-sufficient and self-existent.
(Exodus 3:13-14; Psalm 50:10-12; Colossians 1:16)
4.     God is omnipresent (present everywhere).
(Psalm 139:7-12)
5.     God is omnipotent (all powerful).
(Genesis 18:14; Luke 18:27; Revelation 19:6)
6.     God is omniscient (all knowing).
(Psalm 139:2-6; Isaiah 40:13-14)
7.     God is unchanging or immutable.
(Psalm 102:25-27; Hebrews 1:10-12; 13:8)
8.     God is sovereign.
(2 Samuel 7:22; Isaiah 46:9-11)
9.     God is wise.
(Proverbs 3:19; Romans 16:26-27; 1 Timothy 1:17)
10.                        God is holy.
(Leviticus 19:2; 1 Peter 1:15)
11.                        God is righteous and just.
(Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 11:7; Psalm 119:137)
12.                        God is faithful.
(Deuteronomy 7:9; Psalm 89:1-8)
13.                        God is true and truth.
(Psalm 31:5; John 14:6; John 17:3; Titus 1:1-2)
14.                        God is good.
(Psalm 25:8; Psalm 34:8; Mark 10:18)
15.                        God is merciful.
(Deuteronomy 4:31; Psalm 103:8-17; Daniel 9:9; Hebrews 2:17)
16.                        God is gracious.
(Exodus 34:6; Psalm 103:8; 1 Peter 5:10)
17.                        God is love.
(John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 John 4:8)
18.                        God is spirit.
(John 4:24)
19.                        God is light.
(James 1:17; 1 John 1:5)
20.                        God is three in one better known as the triune God or trinity.
(Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
God can only be known by means of a supernatural revelation of Himself Apart from the Scriptures, even a theoretical acquaintance with Him is impossible. It still holds true that 'the world by wisdom knew not God' (I Cor. 1:21). Where the Scriptures are ignored, God is "the unknown God' (Acts 17:23). The one who has been favored with this supernatural experience of the presence of God, has learned that only 'in thy light shall we see light' (Ps. 36:9).
Lastly, always remember when you are put to the test, God is your protection and light in darkness. Yes, He longs to be your joy in times of sorrow, even today and tomorrow.

God is the joy and the strength of your life; He moves all pain, misery, and strife.
He promised to keep you, never to leave you, He's never ever come short of His word.

Always remember to fast and pray, stay in His narrow way. Keep your life clean through Christ everyday; Never lose hope to go with Him when He comes back, you have come too far and I'll never turn back.
God is (5 xs).
God is He said you’re all in all.

Today is a great day to praise the LORD for the things He is doing around the world through all types of ministries. Although the work of spreading the gospel in different countries is moving ahead by human hands, it is not advancing as it should advance. Yet, that which has been accomplished affords reason for gratitude and grounds for encouragement. To add to this great work of finishing the work of God in this generation is (Garden Ministry). But we need your help; more and more people are seeking for Garden Ministry to be translated into their language. If you would like to translate this devotional into your language and send it off to your friends in different parts of the world, please do so.

If possible, share with us your response.

Join us next time for another ray of sunshine from Garden Ministry.
