When Tiger Woods was moved to build 500 fully furnished houses for more than 1,000 homeless people on the occasion of America's Independence Day. The thing that touched people was what he said, "WATCH FOR MORE."
To those of you who live in AMERICA or know of someone from AMERICA. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO YOU.
Our message today covers a part of the sermon that will be preached on Sunday coming at the GRACE METHODIST CHURCH ON NORTHSHORE PEMBROKE BERMUDA by myself, Chaplain Kevin J.T Santucci. Come and join me for this Present Truth message. The service starts at 11:00 am. All are welcome.
THE MESSAGE OF THE DAY:
When a people, a nation, stop to look back at its past for inspiration and a vision for the future. Then, they are a generation that will not repeat the failures of their ancestors but succeed through their wisdom and the power of the LIVING GOD.
Today, GARDEN MINISTRY addresses the subject of independence on this July 4th, 2025, by looking back on the lessons of the past through the voices of a few good men. We shall accomplish this as a concept with both positive and negative aspects, emphasizing the importance of moral independence rooted in God's will while cautioning against a spirit of self-will and rebellion against divine authority.
In a world where slavery still exists, over-shadowed by various forms of control mechanisms, true independence comes from a life hidden in God. This freedom and liberty enable one to stand firm against worldly influences and temptations.
Yet, this freedom or liberty could be removed if you allow it by an outside force. In most cases, it starts with one walking away from the will of God. And then it continues with one going into debt and living a life out of control.
Many may not say it, but debt is the greatest evil to a person or any nation. Any person or nation that slips into debt needs to find a quick way of getting out of it. Because debt breaks the liberty of a people and nation, and condemns them to modern-day slavery.
Here are a few words of wisdom from the past.
Thomas Jefferson said, "And to preserve their independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.
What then is freedom? "The power to live as one wishes." By Marcus Tullius Cicero
"Perfect freedom is as necessary to the health and vigor of commerce as it is to the health and vigor of citizenship." By Patrick Henry
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion." By Albert Camus
“It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have three unspeakably precious things: Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion.
On the other hand, those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. By Abraham Lincoln.
Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. By Martin Luther King, Jr.
The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence. By Denis Waitley
Have a wonderful July 4th. Blessings, Blessings, Blessings. 💫🌱🙏🏾💙
