Good morning Prayer
Warriors and Colleagues
Praise God ministry in our area
of Dorchester Mass. is seeing some results. A young lady in the neighborhood
who is one year older then Kevina has made a re-commitment to the
Lord. She has a son who is 4 years old, who was born on the same day as our granddaughter Karis but
3 hours before Karis. this young lady's father has gone missing in Jamaica and her
mother lives in New York with other family members. We have opened up our
arms for her to come over to have worship with us and just to talk too. Keep her in prayer
as God has great plans for her and her family.
Updates:
Kevina is doing very
good these days. They are working her off the medicines which will take some
time. Jonathan came over to us for a few days. Keep him in prayer that he will
reach the mark in his next course of the months of schooling.
Karis is doing good
with the things she is learning, as Kevina and Karon are teaching her
daily. Karon is still smiling and in a good spirit and full of the HOLY
SPIRIT.
As to staying in touch
with the Lord, He has been waking me up early to tell me it is time
for us to talk. The first part of the morning has been in prayer, and the
second part of these early hours, He has been flooding my mind with so many
blessings of which He has been able to bless others through me with.
I have been asked to
help out at a church while here in Boston, every time I'm in town by the
overseeing pastor who has two churches on last Wednesdays prayer
meeting. The church is about 25 min. away from us in Cambridge,
Mass. There are many other fires that have got started through the power of the
HOLY SPIRIT of which the LORD has called me to minister other in Mass.
On the first
Sabbath, we saw 6 people give their hearts to the Lord. At yesterday's service,
over 24 people gave their hearts to the Lord. Others recommitted
themselves anew to Lord in service. Yesterday, I also had a call from the
state prison by the chaplain of the prison requesting me to come and speak to
the inmates from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. I regretfully had to turn it down
because it was a long drive to and from the prison. Let us pray for the work in
Bermuda and Mass as God has Hid Way. I was told that the other pastors of our
faith do not go out to the prisons when called. I told them, "if they line
me up early, I"ll be there to speak a word for my
loving Jesus."
Let us keep the 40
women who gave their hearts to the Lord last Sunday morning December 27th, 2015
when I gave the message to the women in the oldest women's state
prison in the USA. Also, let us remember in prayer the 50 men who gave
their hearts to the Lord on Monday December 28th, 2015 in the same state
prison which called for me to speak to them yesterday.
We have seen many soul
come to Jesus in Bermuda, and sad to say some others turn from following the
Lord Jesus Christ. Please keep the work of sharing the gospel in my home
country Bermuda in your prayers.
In talking to one of
my sisters in the faith from Bermuda, Sonia Howes, this morning, I
was reminded by her that "The Spirit is definitely moving
amongst the people. An old throwback song says "when you've tried
everything and everything fails, try Jesus... Indeed, our community is
searching, hungry and thirsty for the truth, love, and
acceptance."
But note all of these
souls have been touched by the Lord in both Bermuda and Boston because God had
allowed Satan to test my family's faith.
We have been through
many test as a family for the past fifteen years. But the start of a succession
of test will come our way. The darker days began a year and ten months
ago when my church reducing me to a part time worker. In that same
month Kevina had to be taken to John Hopkins Hospital for sickness. then in June to July she had to go back to
the same hospital. We got home on the 23rd to view my wife brother in a public viewing.
He was put to rest on the following day. In forty days we would suffer ten
deaths of our family. in late October Kevina would have to be taken back to a
hospital overseas but this time for cancer in her head.
I have not
taken a bad spirit on this, and dogged God or anyone,
or stopped working full time for the Lord. Remember, it was him
who gave me the call over many years ago. He said to me,
"Wherever I allow you to be, or what state You may find yourself
in, I want you to be faithful, for faith is He who has called
you."
Today, I want all
to know that I am on the battle field for my Lord because I promised
Him that I would serve Him till I die or see Him without seeing
death. I also want all to know that I love the work of the Lord
and His people and hold nothing over anyone's head. We must learn to work
together in good times and bad times, in rich times or if we are
in poor times. We must take on the spirit of the church of Acts
2:42-47 which says, "42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles'
doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And
fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the
apostles. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all
things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, (or
divided their salary) and parted them to all men, as every man had
need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the
temple, (they worked together) and breaking bread from house to house, did
eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising
God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church
daily such as should be saved." God is good!
As you will see Satan
did not give up with causing suffering me and my family; he
caused Kevina to become so sick. But God allowed this, so Kevina would be
sent to Boston for this time for treatment. Even unto the portals of death she
was, not once, but three times, with many complications over her last
year and three months. This has forced my wife to give up her part time job for
the last 15 months to care for Kevina. As with many people with insurance,
we have had our setbacks even up to this passed week when we were told
that they will not be paying for some of Kevina's care. God will work this out
to his glory! Then, Satan himself came by my home in
Bermuda to try to kill me last June, causing me to be
brought back to Boston for almost twelve weeks of treatment on top of Kevinas
sinkness. But God is still good!
I have now come to the
place where it doesn't matter anymore what men or demons will do to me or
my family. I must live for Jesus and give God my all. I must do all in my
power and straight to help the work of the Lord in Bermuda at my
church or any church in the world because it is God's church. I must
do God's will moving forward, in going where He sends me, or
allowing me to be in ministry only. One thing I do know is that God
is not finished with me in Bermuda with my brothers and sisters in the churches
or civic duties. Rather, he has opened up doors for a
wider ministry for which others shall be apart of. I am due back
home in Bermuda on January 10th to continue with the ministry there in the
church of the living God, the school, and other civic areas of ministry.
Lastly I want
to thank all for their support in whatever way you where impressed by
God,and prayers for our family this pass year. Spacial thanks
go out to the Rockaway SDA church who provides boxes of books
and literature to me as I need them to pass out to the hundreds of
people I have met this pass year in Boston. I've been very open on this
email because I want all to know that it has been God who has allowed all these
thing to teach us all faith. To the glory of God!
Five Needs of Prayer:
Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our own
personal lives, that God will work in a powerful way this year in all
countries of the world.
Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our
families, and our communities, that this will be the year of healing, of
restoration, of binding up the wounds, and of growing and moving forward
together for God's glory.
Pray for all backslidden members of every church that
God lay them on our hearts, that God will love them back to Himself
through us with wisdom and words of encouragement.
Pray for the promise of the full outpouring of the Holy
Spirit in fulfillment of His word.
Pray for my family and with these new born
babies in Christ.
This year God shall break every chain, and not do it the
conventional way in which we have seen it done in the pass. He say, "Lo, I
am doing a new thing, now it springeth up, Do ye not know it? Yea, I put in a
wilderness a way, In a desolate place — floods." Isaiah 43:19
