Today I want to thank all of you for your
continual prayers for my family. Many of you have been informed of the many
trials of which God has allowed us to go through.
An update report on Kevina:
Today Kevina has been given the opportunity to
strengthen her different muscle structure at the Department of Physical Therapy
- M.G.H Institute of Health. Daily she is making great progress, in getting up
early and doing the things that have been assigned for her to do. “God be
Praise!”
An update report on Chaplain
Kevin recovery:
On Tuesday June 30, 2015 I had two follow up
visits with the doctors who operated on me. Each doctor stated that they are
please with my healing of my face and the bone in and around the eye but there
is still swelling present. They said that I was broken up quite a bit and they
had to put in a number of titanium plates to mend the left side of my face and eye
bones together. They want me to rest for another week and not do anything strenuous,
and should eat soft foods for another month. I have one more follow up with
both doctors on the July 16 and they say I should be fit to fly back home on
July 19th. But I may have to take a few days of rest. Through it all. All I can say is, "What a mighty God we serve!"
Lastly, I took some time to pray for you all this
morning. May the Glory of God fill your life both now and forevermore.
You can pass this praise
report on, and don’t stop praying for those in need.
On Wednesday after my operation, at 6:00 pm
in the evening, as I lay on the bed on my back, God gave me a message to share.
The
Message:
When you pass through the waters, I will be
with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when you walk
through the fire, you shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon
you. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: Isaiah
43:2-3
In our text today, we see the refining, and
purifying process to be carried on by the Lord of hosts in our lives. The work of
trials is most trying to the soul, but it is only through this process that the
rubbish and defiling impurities can be removed from us all. Our trials are all
necessary to bring us closer to our heavenly Father, in obedience to His will,
that we may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness. God has given
each of us capabilities, and talents to improve. We need a new living
experience in the divine life, in order to do the will of God. No amount of
past experience will suffice for the present, or will strengthen us to overcome
the difficulties in our path. We must have new grace and fresh strength daily
in order to be victorious. . . .
The Lord brings His children over the same ground
again and again, increasing the pressure until perfect humility fills the mind,
and the character is transformed; then they are victorious over self, and in
harmony with Christ and the Spirit of heaven. The purification of God's people
cannot be accomplished without suffering; But why has God chosen this method of
transformation to bring about victory in His people over self and sin?
Abraham, Moses, Elijah, Daniel, and many
others, were all sorely tried, but not in the same way. Every one of us have our
own individual tests and trials in the drama of life, but the very same trial
seldom comes twice. Each has his own experience, peculiar in its character and
circumstances, to accomplish a certain work. God has a work, a purpose, in the
life of each of us. Every act, however small, has its place. . .
Yes, Isaiah was right; God permits the fire
of affliction to assail us, so that we may be purified. Malachi reminds us
that, “He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the
sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the
Lord an offering in righteousness.” Mal. 3: 3. The trials of life are God's
workmen to remove the impurities, infirmities, and roughness from our
characters, and fit us for the society of the pure. Note, our fires will not
consume us, but only remove the dross from us, and we shall come forth seven
times purified, bearing the impression of the Divine.
If you are going through a trial or have a
family member or friend going through a deep trial today, be encouraged and be
a comfort to one another. The temptations of Satan are greater now than ever
before, for he knows that his time is short and that very soon every case will
be decided, either for life or for death. It is no time now to sink down
beneath discouragement and trial; we must bear up under all our afflictions and
trust wholly in the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Lord has
shown me that His grace is sufficient for all our trials; and although they are
greater than ever before, yet if we trust wholly in Him, we can overcome every
temptation and through His grace come off victorious.
Lastly, the path of the just is a progressive
one, from strength to strength, from grace to grace, and from glory to glory.
The divine illumination will increase more and more, corresponding with our
onward movements, qualifying us to meet the responsibilities and emergencies
before us until we are home with the saints and Jesus, in Heaven.
Continue to pray for our speedy healing and
recovery, that we may get back to the work of helping mankind .
From my family to you and yours, we love you.
