God and God Alone

In life cultures varies, but God’s people remain the same.

This is the 231st letter:

Text for the day: Galatians 3:28 (King James Version)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

April is a special month to many around the world. It is our aim at Garden Ministry with your help to see that everyone on your email contact list if they will, receive these devotions in that month. The theme for the month will be, “Go light your world”. We can make it happen, by lighting your world.

Questions

Don’t forget to get your answers in to Garden Ministry for these two questions.

1. The light provided on Day 1 of creation week, was it the light of God's presence or from some other object created?

2. Was the light on day one of creation week just provided for the earth only, or the entire universe?

Look in on Monday as we share your answer.

Our Devotional

Next week, we shall start a two week series leading up to Good Friday, the day which Christians around the world reflect on as a memorial of the death of Jesus on Calvary’s cross. Today we will focus on the Panorama of the closing days of Jesus on earth. It was the cross, that instrument of shame and torture, which brought hope and salvation to the world. Many sermons have been preached about it, and many teachers have instructed their students on it, but only a few have accepted the one who died on it. Why! Why is it that so many have decided to just hear and not followed the Lamb of God? (John 1:29) The answer may be found in the thinking of the Society of Jesus day.

In Jerusalem in AD 31, there was deep prejudice among the people. A nation that was called to carry the oracles of God to the world, many of it’s leaders where prejudice and confused. These people loved to talk about the do’s and don’ts of there religion but lacked the power to live it in the face of the world. There is no difference today with the many ideas that prevail; prejudice has weakened the work of God. Unless Jesus the redeemer of the world is made the center of all our faith and hope, He will have to look to another to tell the story that only He saves. (Luke 19:40)

It is time for everyone who claims to believe the truth for this time, to cry out, and look for the neglected, and prefer them above themselves. Have we forgotten that Jesus gave His life for the downtrodden, the poor, the lame, and those in spiritual slavery to sin. It is time to offer help if we can, to those deprived of the privilege of thinking and helping themselves? We may like many choose to ignore this prejudice, but we cannot do it. We must meet our modern day prejudice as it is and deal with it wisely and intelligently in the name of Jesus. Remember, Jesus could have called all the angels in glory and said, “I’m not going to the cross.”

To him it would have been fine, but to us it would have been the biggest lost. Are you not glad Jesus died for you on that Good Friday? It is my prayer to speak and live in the truth, because it’s author is one. Let not prejudice behavior take root in your heart, but purpose to teach all men truth, because God’s word is truth. If you are apart of God’s kingdom, separatism must go, racism must go, and prejudice must go!

In the words of Paul, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” The apostle Paul, in describing his manner of helping those who are prejudice, says: “For though I am free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. And unto the Jews I became as a Jew that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some, (1 Corinthians 9:19-22). Paul’s joy was to teach and preach the risen and soon coming Savior. May this be your joy also.
