"A Day to Reorganize" (Part 1)

This is the 181st letter:

Text for the day: Romans 8:13 (King James Version)

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Our Theme for the day:A Day to Reorganize” (Part 1)

Our Devotional

There is a precious line of truth that runs through the Bible and its call organization. This truth establishes the important question of Church and governmental authority or civil authority. Let me say this subject calls for an open mind, without prejudice, that we may search the Scriptures, whether these things are so! In the working of the church and ministry of the saints, there is a need of the laying of a foundation different from the foundation which has been laid in the past. We have heard much about everything moving in the regular lines. But the day in which we live calls for true organization without hypocrisy. The definition of insanity is said, “to do the same thing the same way.” If this statement is true then we have a lot of work to do, because most people have a problem with change, even if it’s for their good. If you took a poll you would be surprise to know what most people where doing last year this time, they are doing the same thing the same old way this year.

This must stop if we are going to move forward in helping our families, neighbors, and country find Jesus. It is the gold of God and heaven that we should long for a purified and refined life that we may be better ambassadors for him. How long shall God work with us in the line of receiving and accepting His plan for organization? How long shall we do things our own way and long for God to bless our ministry or everyday walk of life? How long!! The Bible teaches that our mind has the ability to produce whatever is put into it.  Like the fertile soil of a farm, our mind is a growing or producing agent.  It grows what we plant or think on.  Jesus taught this in the parable of the sower Matthew 13:3-8, 19-23.

The heart that receives the Word on good ground is a heart that understands.  It is the heart/soul that will produce and will continue to produce.  We have learned that many are called and few are chosen, and that it is a choice to be chosen.  When the Word of God comes to us, we decide what we want to do with it.  If our heart is sincerely ready to understand, growth will begin and we will receive the Word on good ground.  A heart that wants to produce will produce.  The amount that we produce is determined by our commitment to follow God and to give ourselves to His will for our lives rather than our own.

It’s time to consider what type of ground is the Word of God in our life planted on.  The Bible tells us if we lack wisdom we can come to God and ask Him for it and He will give it.  Ask today and begin to produce like never before.  Remember you will produce as much good fruit that you desire.  It’s a choice; it’s never too late to replant, to water, or to grow.

Jeremiah 4:3 says, “Break up the follow ground”   The fallow ground is that which once produced.  Like many gardens that have not been diligently cared for, there are times that we have not been properly caring for the garden of our mind.  Take the initiative and let the Holy Spirit break up your ground. Let the Holy Spirit pull out the weeds in your mind that the word of God may grow richly in you. Seek the Lord and you will produce a full harvest. Finally, in order for God to bless us and our service to others we must be willing to bring everything into His perfect will. The Apostle Paul said, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.” Yes, this is the day to reorganize ourselves.
