Text for the day: Hebrews 3:5, 6
And M oses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; B ut C hrist as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Our Theme for the day: DON’T SIN IN YOUR ANGER (Part 4)
Our Devotional
Every one longs for a good result in what ever they do. The same can be said of God, He is always looking for a good result in His dealings with the children of men. After
The same voice that with patient, loving entreaty invites the sinner to come to Him and find pardon and peace, will in the judgment bid the rejecters of His mercy, "Depart from
As the people gazed upon the aged man, so soon to be taken from them, they recalled, with a new and deeper appreciation, his parental tenderness, his wise counsels, and his untiring labors. How often, when their sins had invited the just judgments of God, the prayers of
The removal of their beloved leader would be a far stronger rebuke to
M oses did not just over come his anger, but he by God’s grace is in heaven now. “In consequence of sin M oses had come under the power of Satan. In his own merits he was deaths lawful captive; but he was raised to immortal life, holding his title in the name of the Redeemer. M oses came forth from the tomb glorified, and ascended with his Deliverer to the C ity of God . M oses was the first person to be taken to heaven out side of Jesus, who had died. There is a lesson in all of this, God shut M oses out of C anaan, to teach a lesson which should never be forgotten--that He requires exact obedience, and that men are to beware of taking to themselves the glory which is due to their M aker. He could not grant the prayer of M oses that he might share the inheritance of Israel , but He did not forget or forsake His servant. The God of heaven understood the suffering that M oses had endured; He had noted every act of faithful service through those long years of conflict and trial. On the top of Pisgah, God called M oses to an inheritance infinitely more glorious than the earthly C anaan .” Jude 9. PP 479
One day we shall learn what it is to live in a land where there shall be no more anger. As servant leaders it is time for us to prepare for that day now. Remember "B e angry, and sin not," says the B ible. "Love is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs." If you truly love someone you will keep a leash on your anger because that is what love does. Love is not easily angered. If you are angry at someone who has done you wrong, it’s time, to forgive them and move on in love.
Every one longs for a result, why not walk in yours today?
